Im Rahmen des internationalen Projekts IMAGES trafen sich 12 Jugendliche aus Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg und S\u00fcdafrika 2021 online. Gemeinsam wurde das Thema \u201eImages\u201c in zahlreichen Facetten bearbeitet.
In Diskussionen und Spielen ging es um Selbstbilder, Zuschreibungen, Stereotype, Individualismus, Gemeinschaft und Identit\u00e4t. Dazu gab es zwei Workshop-Tage mit einer professionellen Fotografin, die Grundlagen der Fotografie und Bildaufbau vermittelte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wie funktioniert es einen internationalen Austausch online stattfinden zu lassen?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im Projekt Images haben die Teilnehmenden Raum zur Selbstdarstellung geboten bekommen und daraus eine emotionale Gruppenerfahrung gemacht. Sie teilten intime Momente untereinander und gestalteten durch ihre Pers\u00f6nlichkeit das Projekt mit.
Anfang Mai 2021 fand unsere erste digitale interkulturelle Jugendbegegnung statt, die wir gemeinsam mit E3 in S\u00fcdafrika durchf\u00fchrten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sechs Jugendliche aus Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg und sechs Jugendliche aus S\u00fcdafrika zwischen 14 und 19 Jahren konnten in dieser speziellen, isolierten Zeit neue Menschen kennenlernen, \u00fcber den Tellerrand schauen und die eigene Comfortzone verlassen. An insgesamt vier Tagen wurde gezoomt, gesprochen, gegoogelt, fotografiert, gespielt, gemeinsam gelacht, getanzt und auch geweint. Unter dem Titel IMAGES ging es also um Fotografie, Bildaufbau und -bearbeitung, K\u00f6rpersprache und Posing, aber auch um Pers\u00f6nlichkeitsentwicklung, Vorurteile, Privilegien, Selbstwert, Gemeinschaft und Empowerment.<\/p>\n\n\n

Anhand des k\u00fcnstlerischen Mediums „Fotografie“ wurden durch Recherchen und Collagen zun\u00e4chst die Lebenswelten der Teilnehmenden dargestellt und ein Kennenlernen untereinander angeleitet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Breakoutr\u00e4umen und gemeinsamen Reflexionsrunden ging es dann um Stereotype und Vorurteile, aber auch um Selbstwahrnehmung und Empowerment. Durch kleine Tanzeinheiten, Energizer und One-Minute-Tasks konnte die Motivation und Begeisterung immer hoch gehalten werden und auch die Workshops zu K\u00f6rpersprache oder Bildbearbeitung machten die internationale Begegnung zu einer unvergesslichen Erfahrung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das kollektive Erlebnis der Isolation der vorangegangenen Monate schien die Offenheit der Teilnehmenden und deren Bed\u00fcrfnis nach Austausch verst\u00e4rkt zu haben – IMAGES konnte diese Situation sehr gut auffangen und erg\u00e4nzen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IMAGES wurde gef\u00f6rdert aus Mitteln des Programms Internationale Jugendarbeit des Kinder- und Jugendplans des Bundes.<\/p>\n\n\n

As part of the international project IMAGES, 12 teenagers from Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg and South Africa met online in 2021. Together, they worked out numerous facets of the topic \u201eimages\u201c. In discussions and games they talked about self-perceptions, attributions, stereotypes, individuality, community and identity. In addition, the participants had two workshop days with a professional photographer who taught them the basics of photography and image composition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does it work for an exchange program to take place online?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the project \u201eImages\u201c, the participants had room for self-portrayal and made an emotional group experience. They shared intimate moments together and shaped the Project with their personality. At the beginning of May 2021, our first digital intercultural youth exchange took place, which we ran together with E3 in South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Six teenagers from Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg and six from South Africa between the age of 14 and 19 had the opportunity to get to know new people, broaden their horizon and leave their comfort zone in this special, isolated time. Four days in total were filled with zooming, talking, googling, photographing, playing, laughing together, dancing and also crying. The program with the title \u201eImages\u201c was about photography, image composition and -editing, body language and posing but also self-development, preconceptions, privileges, self-worth, community and empowerment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the basis of the artistic media \u201ephotography\u201c, the environments of the participants were represented through research and collages as well as the process of getting to know each other was guided by it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In break-out-rooms and reflection rounds all together, they talked about stereotypes and preconceptions, but as well about self-awareness and empowerment. Through small dance sessions, energizers and one-minute-tasks, the motivation and excitement always maintained a high level.
